Fall 2006

Dear Fellow Entrepreneur:

Joy filled her eyes.  That first day of camp, when I hardly knew what I was doing, I looked into that little girls joy filled eyes and I knew.

It was like lightening.

Victorian Days had struck at her heart and there was no turning back.  Suddenly, this little girl loved history, etiquette and femininity.

And she wasn't alone...

All the campers loved it.  And their parents loved it and their siblings joyously signed up for next year.

After the first day of camp I sat in my hoop skirt... stunned.  What was happening?  It was like I was sitting on a rocket ship ready to launch to mars.  No one could get enough of my camp. Not the girls, not the parents, not even the newspaper.

Victorian Days- A Day Camp had become a legend in its own time and all I could do was shake my head in wonder.

I decided that it must be a fluke.  So, I ran some more camps. Surely kids wouldn't love it every time.

BUT I WAS WRONG-

Lightening can strike twice! (in fact lightening can strike every time you offer this type of history based camp program.)

Years passed.

Every year I offer camps in various Pacific Northwest locations and every year little girls are filled with the same kind of joy and passion that I saw in the first day of camp.

Meanwhile, my inbox is overflowing with emails.  Bright, intelligent, history loving women writing me asking "How can I offer a historic camp in my own area?"  "Can you teach me to run a Victorian Days style program?"

So, here I sit at my computer and after four years of emails.

At last I can take it no more!  I have set aside my day to day work (running the www.StartATeaBusiness.com tea business school) and am putting the lightening in a bottle.

History:

Victorian Days TM got its start I ( Lady Dawnya Sasse, founder and director) sought to bring something "unique" to my Central Oregon tea house.  After three long years of research, Victorian Days TM was born in the summer of 2001.

In Victorian Days TM  I combined my background in theater, costuming and tea education and began offering this one of a kind day camp each summer.  My camps are offered in the Pacific Northwest through park and recreation systems, bed and breakfasts and tearooms.

I am also the author and director of the Start A Tea Business online training program and Start A Children's Tea Party Business.  I owned and operated Tea Events teahouse in Bend, Oregon for 8 years and founded the Ladies Tea Guild - Central Oregon Chapter.

Now, after four years of requests, I have finally developed a "Victorian Days" training program designed to help tea and history lovers (like you!) develop historically based theme camps in their own area.

(now I am selling the last 12 kits I will ever offer.  This will insure your camp program stays unique!)

Press Quotes

"When Dawnya Sasse came to Vancouver to run the Victorian Day Camp for 8-11 year old young ladies...she marched her young charges outside, parasol overhead, for some fresh air at Esther Short Park.  They pressed flowers, practiced curtsies, played "Graces" and learned the Virginia Reel.  They drank tea and folded their hands, and when Lady Dawnya was preoccupied, the girls goofed around just a little...."

-The Columbian August 2002

"The clock turned back on a recent afternoon at Bend's Pioneer Park to a more elegant time.  Hats were fashionable, ladies spoke in even tones and dresses always covered the knees...."There is something that is inside a woman of any age that just wants to be feminine"

-The Bend Bulletin  July 2002

"To most kids nowadays, taking tea means grabbing a Snapple.  In spite of the crust less sandwiches, the ritual of tea just doesn't seem suited to the younger set but Dawnya Sasse is on a one-woman crusade to change that. "

-The Columbian  August 2002

Questions and Answers:

1. How much money can I make from Victorian Days?

Like any program the outcome and the income depends on you.  The potential however is unlimited.

Campers generally pay $150-$170 a week.  With a camp of 16 you can gross $2700 a session with the potential of running up to 2 sessions a week.

2.  What will my expenses be?

Expenses will vary greatly depending on your location and your staffing needs.  Our training will profile lots of creative ways to keep your expenses low and your profit margin HIGH.

3. What  age are the campers?

My camp was designed specifically for 8-11 year old girls but you can certainly adapt your personal camp program to include a teenage session or even a boys camp.

4. What qualifications do I need to succeed?

Have you been downsized and need a new job?  Are you a stay at home mom looking for a unique money making business?  Are you trained in tea and etiquette and want to add camps to your current tea business?  Are you a civil war re-enactor looking for exciting opportunities?

Look no further than Victorian Days!

Now, I'm going to be honest with you.  Running camps is not for everyone.  You have to enjoy kids, be organized, flexible, in charge, fun, extremely energetic, good at self promotion, willing to be knowledgeable about history and enjoy wearing a costume even in the summer weather.

5.  How much of an investment will I need?

After the initial cost of this training course you may expect to spend only $800-$2,000 in costuming, china and supplies. And the great thing is that the same supplies can be used over and over and over again.  (a one time investment that will pay year after year.)

(if you already have china and you can sew you have just saved a ton of money!- Don't sew?  We have seamstresses that will provide all the costuming for you!)

6.  Can I make money during the school year as well?

Yes! While our Victorian Days training is primarily about how to operate a summer day camp we will be discussing several ways you can make money offering camps for a day and day clubs during the school year.

There is no better time to start then the present.

7.  Do I need a location of my own?

Depending on the area you may be able to run your camp in a local park, from your home, through a park and recreation program or even in a church but remember the higher your expenses the less money you can make.  So be sure to find a location willing to work with you.

8.  Can I take the training around my own schedule?

Yes! This training is solely and completely around your own schedule. Listen to the CD's at home or in your car and work through the course anytime you like.  There are no homework assignments and the kit is yours to keep.

Schedule your personal coaching calls whenever you would like up to one year from the time of your order.

9.  So how much does this exciting training session cost?

Note: This is a special promotional with a discount price this week only.  When the last 12 kits are sold this training kit will be gone forever!

Well, I am going to be honest with you:

I spent 3 years doing the research for this camp.

I have employed a professional designer to create the custom skirt, collar and hoop patterns.

I hired a pianist to record our exclusive sing a long CD and reproducible song sheets.

I Selected Your Needlework Kit

Bought your games

Packaged your high quality loose-leaf tea

Employed A Graphic Designer

Record CD's and had them transcribed

Hired an artist to design the color books

The list goes on and on...

Honestly, you could not do this yourself quickly or easily and it certainly would not be cheap.

With that considered, I originally planned to charge $6,600 for this educational program. (with the costumes included.)

It is entirely unique and I could sell it.

In fact, I have had ladies request the program not caring how much I would charge.

But then I took a customer survey.  My customers asked me to PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help them get going for less.

So here it is...........

I threw out the costumes and decided to give you the patterns.

I threw out the licensing and decided to let you name the camp yourself and not be bound by my program.

I threw out my regular $150 an hour consultation fee.

I am actually going to send you this unbelievable

program which took me

3 years and thousands of dollars  to develop

for the incredible price of

 only $657 (plus shipping)

Grab 1 of the last 12 kits at this huge $120+ savings.  This is your last week to EVER grab this training set and when they are gone they are gone!

FREE! A BONUS Manual section on tea history and lore

(this section on tea and etiquette will help you stand out as an expert in your field.  Use the information for speeches, newsletters or in your camp program.)

(created especially for you by a professional artist.)

AND ONE MORE THING! : I have contracted with the web company Mr. I Tea to bring you discounted web services.

(while saving you over $500!)
